College dropout how to live on own?

Why not go home for the summer, get a job and save your money? You'll need a couple thousand dollars to live on your own -- many places require a month's rent in advance, plus a rental deposit. You'll need to spend some money on household expenses -- a couple of pots and pans, some dishes to eat on, towels, toilet paper, stuff like that to get you started. You can get a lot of that stuff at Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift shops, etc., but you have to be able to get it home on the bus. Life on your own is going to be a lot more difficult than you think, so take a few months to build yourself a cash reserve, get a work reference to help in landing a job in Minneapolis, and generally plan ahead.
