What are your thoughts on Kanye West being the voice of his generation?

Kanye West to me, is one of the most ignorant public celebrities that I can think of. Instead of doing good things with the public spotlight, he uses it to slander and ridicule others. He voices his opinion far too much with someone who has no research to back up his outlandish accusations. The good things he does do 'giving his award to the members of outkast' seems more like giving fuel to his celebrity status. Could he have done this in secrecy, I don't think so. To me he seems like a kid on a sugar high who says the first things that come to mind, and has no self control. His ignorance leads him to believe he is the voice of our generation. Which if it's true, I'm very scared for our generation. What do you think? Proove me wrong....
