Is John McCain a maverick or a GOP puppet?

Anyone who has been around knows that John McCain is a maverick. He marches to the beat of his own drummer and is why so many of us Conservatives would have held our noses when we voted. He ticked off quite a few party regulars during his speech. He's not taking cues from Cheney, Rove or the GOP elite. He's out to shake up the old establishment and bring some common everyman sense to government.
