Stubborn Iguana?

Are there any tricks to getting my iguana to eat fresh veggies and greens? He is stuck on the store bought dietary pellets and when I try to feed him fresh veggies and fruit I have to almost force feed him. I don't want him to be dependant on Adult iguana food from the pet store because I am certain he needs fresh veggies for most of his nutrients.
